Slims are tall Gaper-like enemies that slowly pace after Isaac, swiping at him if he draws too close. If they hit an obstacle, they will freeze up in pain while spraying blood projectiles in random directions from their wounded arm. They may spawn a Limb on death, with decreased chances if they've previously damaged their arm.

Slims can destroy some obstacles such as Poop with their swipes.

Notes

• Slims will also damage their arms when striking the player, if they are:
  • Apollyon
  • Tainted Apollyon
  • Golem
  • Under the effects of the VII - The Chariot? or Tooth and Nail.

Jims wander around randomly behaving like Pacers, and will periodically swipe in random directions. Jims can occasionally spawn a Pale Limb upon death.

Slim Shady

Slim Shadies are a Dark Room exclusive variant of Slims. They periodically dash towards Isaac before swiping at him while chasing. After dashing three times, Slim Shadies will jump in place, creating a ring of explosions around them and a second, larger ring indicated by red circles that explodes shortly after.

If they hit an obstacle while trying to hit Isaac, a ring of 10 spectral projectiles will be sent out from the point of impact. The Slim Shady will not be stunned like their counterparts.

Similar to their counterparts, they can spawn a Red Hand on death.

Red Hands are stronger variants of Limbs that may appear inside the Dark Room. Shortly after spawning, they will glow intensely before flying after Isaac, periodically leaving projectiles behind while doing so.

Trivia

• Slim's appearance was based on the Leaping Husk, an enemy from the game Hollow Knight.
• Slims have an idle animation which can only be seen if they're trapped and unable to chase after Isaac.
• There is a subtype of Slim with the id 160.820.1 that wanders around aimlessly and swipes in random directions. It is nearly impossible to encounter - only appearing by using D10 on Fish.
  • This was likely originally created as a precursor to Jim.
• Pale Slims turning into Jims on death is a reference to the American snack, Slim Jims.
• Slim Shady's name is a reference to "The Real Slim Shady", a song from American rapper Eminem.
  • They are also a Slim counterpart to the Shady enemy from the original game.
• Red Hand's name and appearance is a direct reference to NPCs of the same name in the RPG Maker game Omori.
• In the animation files for all Slim types except for Pale Slims, there is an animation called "Dance", which displays them walking left to right rapidly.
• Limbs and Pale Limbs were added in the V1.1 update.
• Slims and their Limbs have unique appearances on the Boiler floor if the Fall from Grace MOD is installed.
