Stalagnaught
Stalagnaughts are enemies that spawn stationary high in the ceiling, with only their position indicated by a small shadow. If Isaac draws close, or if all the other enemies in the room have been killed they will drop straight down, before then burying into the ground. If no other enemies spawn in the room with them, they will also drop down immediately.
After burrowing underground, they will then dig up from directly beneath Isaac's position, marked by a small dirt patch and digging sound. After coming up, they will pause for a moment before burrowing back down and reemerging at Isaac's position again - repeating the process.
There is a variant of Stalagnaughts that spawns half-buried in the ground instead of high in the ceiling, after which they will bury down and perform their attack as usual.

- Stalagnaughts have waiting variants, which can either start out underground beneath Isaac or falling from the ceiling.
