Scoop
Scoops are poop enemies that quickly chase after Isaac with high momentum, making wide turns while also leaving a trail of slippery brown creep. On death, it will spawn 1-2 Brownie Corns, release a burst of corn and poop projectiles in random directions, and leave a large puddle of slippery brown creep.
If encountered in Dross, Scoops spawn
Drips instead of Brownie Corn. These Drips will have a unique brown coloration to match Scoop's but behave as usual.
Variants
Sundae
Sundaes are 2 stacked Scoops that behave identically, but chase Isaac slightly slower than Scoops. After taking 15 damage, the top Scoop will die and release its usual effects, while the Sundae transforms into a Scoop.
Soft Serve
Soft Serves a stack of 3 Scoops and chase Isaac even slower than Sundaes with additional momentum while turning. After taking 15 damage, the top Scoop will die and release its usual effects, while transforming into a Sundae.
Coalby
Coalbies are a variant of Scoops that behave similarly, but will not leave a trail of creep and have slightly less momentum when chasing. Whenever they collide into a wall or obstacle, they leave behind a small extinguishable fire. On death, they leave a large lump of burning coal that deals contact damage. These coals can be extinguished by attacking it, but automatically disappear upon room clear, similar to a Coal Spider coal.
Coupile
Coupiles are a variant of Sundaes. They behave like like Coalbies, but are a bit slower. After taking 20 HP worth of damage, the Coupile turns into a Coalby and leaves behind a medium lump of burning coal.
Cairn
Cairns are a variant of Soft Serves. The behave like Coalbies, but are much slower. After taking 20 HP worth of damage, the Cairn degrades into a Coupile while leaving behind a small lump of burning coal.
Trivia
- The appearance of the Drips spawned by Scoops in Dross is taken from a cut
Turdlet-themed Drip variant.
- Sundaes and Soft Serves also have unique appearances in Dross, however this can only be seen when spawned in manually as they aren't found naturally in any rooms.
- Names and concept of stackable Scoop variants could be inspired by enemies from the Bad Ice Cream game series.
- Cairns, Coupiles and Coalbies were all added in V2.5.
- The design for Coalby came to one of the Fiend Folio developers during a dream.
