Mulligans
Mulligans are a generally passive enemy that runs away from Isaac and usually spawns enemies. There are some outliers, however.
More information about Mulligans in general can be found in the vanilla page.
Mullikaboom
Mullikabooms are a variant of Mullibooms with a Bomber Boy bomb lodged in their head. They move a bit slower while chasing down Isaac, but have a more potent explosion. When killed or touching Isaac, they will create multiple explosions that travel out in a cross shape.
Notes
- Their explosion is not the exact same as Bomber Boy explosions, being a good deal smaller and exploding outwards in stages rather than all at once.
- If the Defuse card is used, they will be downgraded to a regular Mulligan and drop Bomber Boy as an item.
Smogger
Smoggers are similar to Mullighouls and will float away from Isaac, being able to travel over pits but not rocks. They will occasionally spit out a Dark Ball towards Isaac, and upon death they leave behind a small patch of gunpowder.
Smoggers can be ignited by any source of fire, causing them to turn hostile, chase after Isaac while leaving a short trail of fire, and be unable to spawn Dark Balls. Upon dying while ignited, they leave behind an extinguishable flame on the ground instead of gunpowder.
Cushion
Cushions are variants of Nests found in Downpour, which periodically spawn Striders instead of Spiders while running away. When killed, it will spawn either 2 Striders or a Skipper.
Hooligan
Hooligans are enemies that appear similar to Snaggers and behave like Mullibooms. They spawn holding an unknown surprise within their sack head and will rush towards Isaac. When close enough, they will burst open and release their contents.
If a Hooligan is killed before they can get close to Isaac to self-destruct, nothing will spawn.
Notes
- The contents of a Hooligan are determined by the room layout, as they immediately contain the closest enemies or items in their sack when everything spawns on the room loading, with the amount they can carry also being determined by their variant.
- If Isaac has Guppy's Eye, the contents of Hooligans are made visible.
Cistern
Cisterns are variants of Drowned Hives that run away from Isaac and occasionally spew out a variety of Bubbles towards him. They fire out 2 small bubbles and one large, with one of the bubbles being either a Fly Bubble or Spider Bubble. On death, they will also release a large number of bubbles, although none of these contain enemies.
Jammed
Jammed are a variant of Mulligan found in Utero that will periodically eject out a Smidgen from their head towards Isaac as they run away from him. Upon death, they spawn a Hostlet.
Hostlet
Hostlets are small Host variants spawned exclusively by Jammed on death. They fire 3 short-ranged projectiles in a spread towards Isaac. Like regular Hosts, they are immune to damage and explosions when their head is lowered, but are vulnerable when they raise it to shoot.
They are most commonly spawned from Jammed, but can appear on their own in some rooms.
Notes
- Unlike regular Hosts, their skulls can not be removed by Mom's Bracelet.
Red Jammed
Red Jammed are a variant of Jammed that spawn Red Smidgens instead. Upon death, they spawn a Red Hostlet.
Red Hostlet
Red Hostlets are small Red Hosts spawned exclusively by Red Jammed on death. They fire 5 short-ranged projectiles in a spread towards Isaac, and are vulnerable at all times.
They are most commonly spawned from Red Jammed, but can appear on their own in some rooms.
Facade
Facades appear to be a variant of Mulligan found in the Scarred Womb. When they first appear, Facades initially run away from Isaac, seeming harmless, but will begin their transformation to their true form if they take damage or when Isaac draws too close. Once transformed, Facades become aggressive and chase Isaac at a high speed, being able to deal contact damage. Facades release a ring of 9 projectiles on death.
Molly
Mollies are Leper variants found exclusively in Corpse. Similar to their original counterpart, for every 15 damage they take, a chunk of their head will detach, creating a Toma Chunk, which starts chasing Isaac. After losing 1 chunk, they will be able to deal contact damage. After losing 3, they begin to chase Isaac while leaving a trail of red creep on the ground. Upon death, they spawn one last Toma Chunk and a Black Globin's Body.
Toma Chunk
Toma Chunks are a Corpse variant of Leper Flesh, spawned by Mollies and many other Corpse enemies. They erratically chase Isaac faster than their counterpart, and upon death, will lob short-ranged tooth projectiles in an arc towards Isaac's position and spawn a Spider.
Like Leper Flesh, Toma Chunks will die after making contact with Isaac.
Molargan
Molargans are variants of Nests found exclusively in Corpse. They are quicker than their counterparts and will occasionally spit an Oralid towards Isaac that lodges itself into the ground, and releases 4 projectiles in the cardinal directions on impact. Upon death, Molargans will burst into several teeth projectiles and spawn 2 Oralids.
Unlike most other Mulligan variants, Molargans can deal contact damage.
Trivia
- Mullikaboom's bomb has the appearance of Afterbirth+'s Bomber Boy bomb.
- Molly, Toma Chunk, and Molargan were all originally from the unreleased Morbus MOD.
- Molly's name is a reference to Epidermolysis Bullosa Dystrophia, a chronic genetic disorder that was once commonly mistaken for leprosy.
- This is also indicated by the fact that Molly is a Leper variant, with the latter being inspired by leprosy itself.
- Jammed, Red Jammed, Hostlet, and Red Hostlet were all created by a member of the Fiend Folio Cornmunity Discord server, Shuaner.
- Facades were first revealed on a post on the developer TitaniumGrunt7's Deviantart page, titled Descendants of a cancelled Binding Of Isaac mod.
- As the title suggests, Facades were originally for a cancelled mod for Isaac, and were known as "Hungrygan".
