Coloscopes are 
Gaper-like enemies whose heads are comprised of a giant colon. They will chase after Isaac, and after coming into range, will pause to fire out a string of poop projectiles towards him. These projectiles linger in the air for a period before the Coloscope sucks them back in to return to chasing.
The projectiles will be destroyed if they collide with a wall or obstacle, which reduces the time the Coloscope takes to suck the chain in. If a projectile in the back of the chain gets destroyed, all projectiles in front of it will get detached and drop down.
