Zapbladder
Zapbladders will always be accompanied by a set number of Wires orbiting them, as they slowly float around the room in small dashes. They will generally dash towards Isaac, but have a chance to also dash in a random direction. Occasionally, they will electrify all Wires orbiting them while dashing once towards Isaac, causing them to orbit further away and become connected to each other by chains of electricity. They will remain stationary for a few moments while the electrified Wires rotate before restarting the cycle. If 2 or fewer Wires remain, the electricity will connect directly to the Zapbladder itself.
If a Zapbladder is killed, any remaining Wires are set free and behave normally. If all of a Zapbladder's Wires are killed, it will dash around the room aimlessly, only occasionally switching to chasing Isaac for a few dashes.
Notes
- The amount of Wires a Zapbladder spawns with is determined by the room layout and is set through its variant number.
- Its base variant 160.640 spawns with 6 Wires, but any subtype spawns Wires equal to its number, with 160.640.1 spawning with 1 Wire and so on.
Wire
Wires typically are found orbiting Zapbladders, but are also found in a variety of rooms on their own. They dash around in quick puffs and behave like Zapbladders with no Wires, switching between dashing around randomly and dashing after Isaac.
Trivia
- Zapbladders and Wires have notable similarities to Arrghus and Arrgi enemies from the The Legend of Zelda series (while also having aspects of Bari). Both sets of enemies consist of a core unit surrounded by flunkies who attack the protagonist using electricity.
