Spooks are invulnerable ghost enemies that start off invisible upon spawning. Their presence in a room is signaled by a series of ghostly laughs. After a moment they will materialize and perfectly follow Isaac's movements, delayed by a few seconds. Multiple Spooks can line up, creating a chain behind Isaac.
Killing an enemy will periodically enrage all Spooks causing them to speed up, indicated by them laughing. If Isaac kills any more enemies they will extend the duration of this state.
They will disappear upon clearing the room.

- The amount of Spooks in a chain is determined by the room layout and their variant.
