Marlins are skeletal enemies found within 
Ashpit that will randomly wander around the room in the cardinal directions until Isaac enters their line of sight. They can detect and charge at him even when separated by obstacles. When lined up with Isaac, they charge in his direction until they hit a wall, obstacle, or any type of 
Rock Ball.
If they hit any sort of obstacle, they will generally fling it high into the air to land on top of Isaac. There will be different effects depending on the type of obstacle they collide into:
Rocks will be destroyed and flung towards Isaac as Rock Ball.- Rock Balls and
Tumbleweeds will be flung as usual. However, Tumbleweeds will not deal any damage to Isaac. 
Lava Rock Balls will be destroyed on landing and send out 4 lines of fire in the cardinal directions.
Gold Rock Balls will be destroyed on landing and will drop a few 
Coins.
Tinted Rocks and 
Fool's Gold Rocks will drop their regular items on destruction. Tinted Rocks yield normal Rock Balls, while Fool’s Gold yields Gold Rock Balls.
Mushrooms, 
Urns, 
Skulls, 
Buckets and 
Polyps will be destroyed, and will not spawn a rock ball.
Bomb Rocks will explode without dropping a rock ball, while also usually killing the Marlin in the process.
They cannot destroy 
Poops of any kind, running into them will have them stop in their tracks.
Notes
- Rock Balls spawned by Marlins will be destroyed on room clear.
- They can pick up and throw the football spawned by
SOCCER as it is considered a type of Rock Ball. However, it will not deal any damage to Isaac.
