Suckers are fly enemies resembling mosquitoes that are characterized by their slow movement and a variety of effects on death.

Mayflies are watery Suckers that fire 2 projectiles in a v shape towards Isaac upon death.

Volts are upgraded versions of Lightning Fly that slowly fly towards Isaac and periodically become electrified, becoming invulnerable while doing so. If shot while in their electrified state, they will release 2-4 short lasers in random directions. Upon death, they release a ring of 5 projectiles that shoot blue Technology lasers outwards after a short delay. One of the projectiles in the ring will always be oriented to face Isaac.

Sagging Suckers behave differently from other Suckers as they fly quickly towards Isaac, attempting to line up with him diagonally. When lined up it will shoot a large stream of projectiles diagonally downwards, which propels itself upwards. If Isaac is below it, the diagonal stream will be aimed at him, if he is above it, it will propel itself diagonally towards him.

Sagging Spits are the Spit equivalent to Sagging Suckers, and will behave nearly identically to their counterpart. However, when diagonally lined up with Isaac it will propel itself backwards with a small volley of 5 tiny Ipecac projectiles instead, along with leaving a thin trail of poisonous gas.

• Mayflies were originally from the unreleased Flooded Cave Overhaul MOD.
• Volts and Sagging Spits were added in the Spitshine update.
  • Volts were in the game but unused prior to the update.
• Sagging Spit was originally a fan suggestion from a member of the Fiend Folio Cornmunity Discord server, AlphaMakesStuff (then known as AlphaMemelord 69).
• Mayflies have a unique appearance when encountered on the Boiler floor if the Fall from Grace MOD is installed.
