Pricks are towering enemies found in Ashpit that spawn with many segments each with its own HP. Only the bottom segment can be damaged can killing a segment knocks the tower down one step. Each Prick spawns with one head segment at the top and a varying amount of body segments all the way down.
There are 2 different types of body segments that have different behaviors when at the very bottom of the tower:
- Segments with barrels will actively stay away from Isaac while constantly firing 4 spike projectiles, alternating between the cardinal and ordinal directions.
- Spikey segments will chase after Isaac slowly, and when destroyed, will release a ring of 8 spike projectiles.
When the head reaches the ground, it ignites and Prick begins jumping around the room randomly while leaving behind extinguishable fires.
Notes
- The amount and type of segments a Prick spawns with is determined by the room layout, and occasionally a Prick can be encountered as a flaming head with no body segments.

- Pricks are a reference to Pokeys from the Super Mario Bros franchise.
