Infected Mushroom
Infected Mushrooms are stationary enemies which create a hypnotic aura around themselves which covers a large portion of the room. If another enemy enters this aura, they will become confused, reducing their movement as they move around randomly making it hard to leave the aura. While confused, enemies will periodically shoot out a single rainbow-colored spectral projectile towards Isaac which moves in a wavy pattern.
If Isaac is standing inside this aura, the screen will slowly shift between different colors and obstacles will take on a pitch black appearance; this effect lasts for a few seconds even after leaving the aura.
If there are no other enemies left in the room, Infected Mushrooms will explode into a damaging fart.
Trivia
- Their name is a reference to the musical duo, Infected Mushroom.
- Infected Mushrooms were unused in the initial AB+ release of Fiend Folio.
- They were added in the V2.5 update.
