Unpawtunate are skeletal felines that appear stationary in pits. They will periodically fire an exploding bone missile directly towards Isaac's position, its destination indicated by a cat-shaped reticule. The explosion is slightly smaller than normal explosions.
Upon death, an Unpawtunate's skull will detach and begin flying after Isaac while accelerating, exploding after a period. The time until its detonation is marked by increasingly rapid flashing and beeping. Its timer can be sped up by dealing damage to the skull, although the skull is technically invulnerable.

- Unpawtunate is based on the Howlitzer enemy from the game Spiral Knights.
- Unpawtunate is called "kitty kannon" inside the mod's files.
- Unpawtunates have a unique appearance when encountered on the Tomb floor if the Revelations MOD is installed.
