Empath
Empaths are ghostly enemies found in the Mausoleum that hover slowly around a small area. They will not attack Isaac, however when any enemy dies in the room, all Empaths react by shrieking before firing 4 homing projectiles in ordinal directions. If an Empath dies in the room while other enemies are still alive, they will cause all other enemies to immediately shoot 4 fast-moving projectiles in the cardinal directions.
Killing an Empath while there are other Empaths in the room, will have all other Empaths fire the 4 cardinal projectiles immediately on first shriek, followed by the 4 ordinal projectiles on the second shriek.
Notes
- Empaths take a moment before and after shooting homing projectiles. Killing enemies during this time will not make an Empath shoot extra projectiles.
- If killing an Empath clears the room while enemies that die immediately upon the room clear are present, said enemies will die before the Empath can make them shoot projectiles.
