Token Bag is a passive item added in The Spitshine Update.

Effects

• Spawns a sack familiar that drops a Token every 10 rooms.
  • Tokens mimic the effect of the previous pickup collected, turning into said pickup when collected.
  • This not only includes Coins, Bombs, Keys, Hearts and Batteries, but also Sacks, Cards, Pills, Runes, Objects, and even trinkets that have been picked up.

Notes

• Tokens will not copy collectibles or Chests.
• Tokens copying Sacks will not copy over the contents of the original Sack it is mimicking.
• Tokens can copy the effects of Colored Puzzle Keys, which can open any other Colored Locks of their respective matching color in the room.
• One very effective way to use Token Bag is for the player to hold onto any desired Cards, Pills, Runes, Objects, or trinkets they wish to duplicate, and drop it and pick it up again before collecting a Token, which should always result in creating a copy of said item.
• Tokens can not be picked up if they are mimicking a pickup that Isaac does not have the space to collect, such as Hearts when they do not have enough space in their health bar, or Batteries if the charge for their active item is full.
• Tokens can not be duplicated by Jera.
• If Isaac has not picked up any valid pickups prior to picking up a Token, it will do nothing.

Interactions

• BFFS!: Reduces the number of rooms needed to be cleared for Token Bag to drop a Token to 8.
• Guppy's Eye: Guppy's Eye will reveal the pickup that Tokens will copy.
• Magneto: Does not attract Tokens.
• Humbleing Bundle: Tokens can not be doubled.

Trivia

• Token Bag and Tokens were unused in the initial release of The Reheated Update.
• Token and Token Bag's appearance resembles the Wild Card, a card that mimics the effects of other consumables/items.
