Deimos is a passive item added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Spawns a familiar that fires a
Sanguine Hook projectile in the direction Isaac is shooting tears.
- The hook inflicts enemies hooked with bruising and pulls them toward the familiar, eventually pulling them out to inflict hemorrhaging.
- The hook can also pull pickups and item pedestals to Isaac.
Notes
- If Isaac stops firing tears while the familiar has an enemy hooked, it will release the enemy.
Trivia
- Deimos is one of the planet Mars' moons. It was named after Deimos, son of Ares and Aphrodite, the personification of dread and terror before battle in Greek mythology.
- Deimos is also a character in the Madness Combat series, which Isaac's appearance mirrors with this item.
- The familiar spawned by Deimos uses a hook as a reference to Sanford, another character in Madness Combat who is partners with Deimos and often fights with a large hook.
- Moreover, the familiar looks like the zombies from Madness Combat, noted by its broken lower jaw.
