Hypno Ring is a passive item added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Grants a 20% chance to shoot a dark blue tear that makes enemies hit by the tear drowsy over the course of 2 seconds, before going to sleep for 6 seconds.
  • Drowsy enemies will turn blue and begin to slow down until they come to a complete stop and become sleepy. Sleeping enemies will not be able to move or attack until the effect wears off. They will take double damage on the next hit they take, but will also awaken them, ending the effect prematurely.
  • The chance to fire a drowsy tear is affected by luck, reaching a maximum chance of 33% with 10 luck.

Notes

• Damage an enemy takes while in the drowsy stage of the effect won't interrupt them falling asleep.

Interactions

• Second Hand: Doubles the sleep duration to 12 seconds, and will increase it by an additional 6 seconds for every additional Trinket Multiplier. The initial drowsiness effect's duration will not be affected, and will always be 2 seconds.
• Aquarius: Creep puddles created by Aquarius have a chance to make enemies drowsy.

• The item is a reference to the object of the same name in the illustrated children's novel, Captain Underpants.
