Maria's Smash Trophy is a passive item added in V2.4.

Effects

• +1 damage.
• Enemies take additional knockback from Isaac's tears, which increases in strength the lower the enemies' HP is.

Notes

• Isaac's tears will make unique punching sound effects when they hit an enemy, changing based on the amount of remaining HP the enemy has.

Trivia

• The item's name and effect are a reference to the video MARIA vs JON: The Revenge Match, where Fiend Folio developers Marianna and RedRachis played several 1v1 rounds in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Maria ultimately claimed victory in the matchup, resulting in Maria's Smash Trophy being added to the MOD in an act of gratification.
• The item's costume is a reference to Twitch streamer Hungrybox, who is known for maining Jigglypuff with a similar green headband in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
• The sounds enemies make when hit are based off of the same sounds that play when hitting an opponent in the original Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64.
