Golden Frog Head is an active item added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Using the item will turn Isaac into a golden frog, disabling movement controls and causing him to vibrate in place as he charges up a fart. When Isaac stop using the item, the fart is released, with the strength of the fart based on how long it has been held for.
- Held for a tiny bit: fart a little, which does nothing.
- Held until Isaac flashes white: normal fart that confuses enemies, and knocks enemies and projectiles away.
- Held until Isaac flashes red: poisonous fart that damages and poisons enemies.
- Held until Isaac glows red: multiple poisonous farts that can all damage and poison enemies.
Notes
- Isaac can still shoot tears while using Golden Frog Head.
- If playing as
Slippy, using the item will stop her automatic movement. The Golden Frog Head also will not change her appearance while in use.
Interactions

Birthright: Slippy produces lingering noxious gas clouds when she farts. The gas lasts much longer if held until flashing red and the cloud is much bigger if held until glowing red. Still does nothing when held only for a tiny bit. 
Abyss: Absorbing Golden Frog Head spawns a unique Abyss Locust that otherwise does not have a special effect.

- Golden Frog Head is a reference to the secret Nuclear Throne character, Frog.
- The effect of the item is taken directly from Frog's special ability.
- The gold-red color scheme of the item is similar to Frog's own colors.
- The item's name including the word "Golden" is based off of Frog's starting weapon, the Golden Frog Pistol.
- The Abyss Locust spawned by absorbing Golden Frog Head with Abyss resembles a Patapon from Patapon — more specifically, a rare version of Patapon named Nyontama.
