Pet Rock is a passive item added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Spawns a stationary rock familiar that blocks enemy projectiles and can be pushed around by Isaac.
- When pushed over a pit tile, Pet Rock will fall into it and fill it in, creating a rock bridge. Upon entering a different room, Pet Rock will reappear.
Notes
- The familiar is unable to block enemy lasers.
- The familiar won't reappear in rooms where it had been turned into a bridge.

The Siren, where it will gain the ability to deal contact damage to Isaac as well as create a spiked bridge if it gets pushed into a pit. Other than that, Pet Rock will continue to sit still and do nothing as usual.
Interactions
BFFS!: Increases the size of Pet Rock and its hitbox.
Box of Friends: Creates an additional Pet Rock for the room, even if Pet Rock has already been pushed into a pit in the room prior.
Trivia
- Pet Rocks in pop culture originate from the pet rock fad in 1975.
- On pickup, the familiar granted by Pet Rock can have one of 3 different appearances. There is virtually no difference between each of them, however.
- In the MOD's files, there is a grid sprite for rock bridges created by Pet Rock. Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be used, and bridges created by Pet Rocks will instead look like normal rock bridges from the current floor.
- Pet Rock was first teased in the "Fiend's Minecraft Special" livestream on the fiendfoliomod Twitch channel. In the stream, a facsimile of Pet Rock was shown made of a Stone block and a wooden sign with "O" eyes written on it on.
