Chirumiru is a passive item added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Grants 1
Soul Heart. - +0.9 flat damage.
- Upon entering an uncleared room, Isaac will produce a white flash, and all enemies will become petrified for 9/10ths of a second.
Trivia
- Chirumiru is a direct reference to an unofficial Touhou Project song, called "Chirumiru Cirno".
- The flavor text is also a reference to the second to last spell card used by Cirno in Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Freeze Sign "Perfect Freeze".
- Chirumiru increasing Isaac's damage stat by 0.9 is also a reference to Cirno's association with the number 9.
Fiend's favorite Touhou Project character is Cirno — according to the easter egg hidden in the spritesheet for Fiend's Chirumiru costume.
- Despite Chirumiru's flavor text describing the item as an "HP up", it does not grant any
Red Heart containers like other "HP up" items, only a Soul Heart. This discrepancy is shared with 
Cancer and its flavor text. - If the player manages to obtain 9 copies of Chirumiru in a single run, a popup will appear with the message "Cirno! 9. Idiot.".
