Hedonist's Cookbook is an active item added in The Spitshine Update.

Effects

• On use, kills all enemies on screen with the lowest maximum HP, causing them to leave behind a puddle of white creep and erupt into a fountain of white tears for 4 seconds.
  • The tears each deal 2/11ths of Isaac's damage, and each fountain will create tears at a rate of 6 per second (1 tear every 1/6th of a second).
• Hedonist's Cookbook contributes towards the Bookworm transformation.

Notes

• Hedonist's Cookbook will affect all enemies that share the same maximum HP.
• Hedonist's Cookbook will not affect bosses or mini-bosses.
• There is a radius around Isaac in which Hedonist's Cookbook will not target enemies that are outside of — this radius is approximately slightly less than the width of a normal-sized room.

• Hedonist's Cookbook is a reference to the cookbook titled Natural Harvest, of which the recipes involve the use of semen.
• If Hedonist's Cookbook is used without any valid targets, a voice clip of a man saying "hmm~" will be heard.
  • This sound byte originates from the homoerotic film Boy Band, specifically one scene featuring dialogue from the adult film actor Steve Rambo that became popularized through gachimuchi-style parody videos and remixes.
• Hedonist's Cookbook was originally planned for the Tainted Treasure Rooms MOD, being the tainted version of Anarchist Cookbook before being reworked to be included in Fiend Folio: Reheated.
