Ridiculous Metal is a rock trinket added in The Spitshine Update.
Effects
- Upon entering an uncleared room, Golem holds a guitar and begins a rhythm minigame, where a bar appears below him with a random number of blue notes closing into a yellow bar in the center. Firing tears with the correct timing, as indicated by the blue notes, will deal damage to all enemies in the room.
- The damage dealt to enemies per note played is equal to
(Damage ÷ 8) × Combo × Trinket Multiplier
. Missing a note will reset the combo multiplier.- If the total number of notes in the sequence is 8 or more, and all notes have been successfully played without missing, the final note will also activate The Necronomicon effect, dealing an additional 40 damage to all enemies.
- Hitting the final note of the sequence will grant Golem random stat boosts based on the amount of notes successfully played. These boosts disappear upon leaving the room.

Trivia
- Ridiculous Metal was designed by one of the winners of the Stronger Than Golem challenge, Dastarod.
- Ridiculous Metal's name is a reference to Ridiculon, the composer of the soundtrack for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Afterbirth, Afterbirth+, and Repentance.
- Ridiculous Metal's effect is a reference to the Sound Battle mechanic from the game Mother 3, which required the player to attack in time with the beat of the song playing during the battle.
- This is tied in with the orbiting notes that appear around the player with each successful note played, and the maximum combo of 16 that can be attained — mechanics which are both based directly off of those in Mother 3.
