Dealmakers is a trinket added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- All items and pickups for sale in
Shops, Devil Deals and Black Markets will have randomized prices.
- Some items and pickups for sale will have have a 1/5 chance for their price to constantly shift through random values. If bought, the item will be paid at the price shown when taken.
Notes
- The prices chosen for
Shop items will typically be under 20 coins on average, but can go as high as 99.
- The prices chosen for Devil Deals and Black Markets can be any combination of 1-2
Red Heart containers, 1-3
Soul Hearts, or 1 Red Heart container and 1-2 Soul Hearts.
- Any price can be chosen even if the character is unable to have the correct type of health to actually buy it, such as causing a Devil Deal to cost Red Heart containers if a player is playing as
???.

- Dropping the Dealmakers will not revert the randomized prices back to their original value.
- It will stop the shifting prices from cycling until the Dealmakers are picked up again.
- Because Isaac is unable to pick up items that cost money to buy if they do not have the required amount, the player can have Isaac stand on top of a item with shifting prices until it cycles into a price that they can afford — this is most valuable if the amount of money Isaac has is less than the amount that the item is expected to be worth without Dealmakers, meaning it is effectively guaranteed to be bought at a discount.
- Shop items restocked through a
Restock Machine will keep the static or shifting price of the original item that was in its place.
Interactions
Steam Sale: The randomized prices of
Shop items will be reduced as expected.
Restock: When a
Shop item restocks after being bought, its new price will be randomly selected again — items with randomly shifting prices can restock into items with static prices, and vice-versa.
- Items that have restocked by buying it while having Restock, before then being restocked through activating a
Restock Machine will result in the price updating to a new random price.
- Items that have restocked by buying it while having Restock, before then being restocked through activating a
Trinket Multipliers: With at least one addition to Deal Maker's trinket multiplier, the speed at which the randomly shifting prices will cycle is increased. Any additional trinket multiplier effects will have no further effect.
A Pound of Flesh: Items for sale in
Shops that now cost Health and items for sale in Devil Deals that now cost coins will be randomized as usual. Consumables in Shops that are surrounded by spikes will not be affected.
Your Soul: Devil Deals will not have their prices be randomized while they ask for Your Soul.
- BUG: Currently, if Isaac picks up or drops Your Soul with Dealmakers, then the prices will not be updated — this means if Isaac drops Your Soul if a Devil Deal asks for it while they had the Dealmakers, the items can be taken from free.
Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Dealmakers rerolls it into
Jevilstail.
Trivia
- Dealmakers and its effects are a reference to Spamton from Chapter 2 of Deltarune.
- In Deltarune, Spamton could give "the Dealmaker" to the player after his final fight if defeated through ACTing and Sparing.
- Spamton's shop location in Deltarune also had random and constantly shifting prices, which is referenced in the Trinket's effect.
- The Dealmaker's flavor text, "Specil Deals" [sic], is another reference to Spamton's quirks of misspelling certain words in his dialogue, which included having the word "special" spelled as "specil".
