Keystone is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Drops a Key when picked up the first time.
• Using a key grants +0.1 speed and roughly +0.1 tears that disappears upon entering a new floor.

Notes

• What counts as using a Key must include consuming a key through any means, such as opening locked doors, Locked Chests and Key Blocks, and even through giving keys to Key Masters or Cell Games.
  • Unlocking things through using a Golden Key will not grant a speed or tears up — at least 1 of Golem's held keys must be consumed for Keystone to grant stats.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers / Henge Rock: Affects the increase in stats granted by Keystone.
• Sharp Key: Each Key consumed through using Sharp Key will grant a speed and tears up.
• King of Spades: When this card's effect is active, each of Golem's keys he shoots will be consumed and shot as a projectile, granting a boost in stats with Keystone. As the sharp key projectiles drop a key when they land, this can be exploited to generate as much of the stat boosts as possible for the current floor without having to lose any keys — while still being in respect to Golem's speed and tears cap.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Keystone rerolls it into Rock Candy.
