Massive Amethyst is a trinket added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Replaces all
Shopkeepers in 
Secret Rooms with gigantic amethyst crystals. - A giant amethyst crystal can be destroyed by an explosion to drop either of the following:
- 1-3
Rune Shards. - 1-2 random
Runes, including Soul Stones.
- 1-3
Notes
- Destroying amethyst clusters will not activate certain item effects that would apply to killing Shopkeepers like
Infestation 2, nor will it increase the chance for a 
Devil Room or 
Angel Room to appear. - Massive Amethyst is able to appear while playing as
Golem, being classified as a rock trinket.
Interactions
Autopsy Kit: No effect on the drops of amethyst clusters.
Trinket Multipliers: An extra Rune Shard will drop from destroyed amethyst crystals for every trinket multiplier.
Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Massive Amethyst rerolls it into 
Solemn Vow.
