Lithopedian

Lithopedian is a rock trinket added in The Spitshine Update.

Effects

• Spawns a Stoney Gaper familiar that behaves like a Stoney, blocking projectiles and chasing after enemies and Troll Bombs to strongly push them around.
  • Sometimes while targeting enemies, the Stoney Gaper has a chance to stop its chase to catch its breath for a few seconds.
  • The Stoney Gaper will sometimes have a small chance to chase after and push any Bombs placed by the player.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers / Henge Rock: If the multiplier is > 1, the Stoney Gaper will now deal contact damage to enemies, equal to Golem's Damage ÷ 5 × Trinket Multiplier approximately every 1/5th of a second.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Lithopedian rerolls it into Gay Garnet.

Trivia

• Lithopedian is a fan suggestion from a member of the Fiend Folio Cornmunity Discord server, Moofy. The sprites for both the trinket and the Stoney Gaper familiar have also been designed by them.
• A lithopedian is an event where a fetus dies inside the womb, but is too large to be absorbed by the body, thus calcifying itself into a stone-like statue.
• Lithopedian chasing after the player's bombs was originally a bug, but was kept in the code in a minor fashion because it was funny.
