Vessel Rock is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- While held, Vessel Rock can be filled by picking up a
Red Heart, and takes damage first before the rest of Golem's health bar.
- The trinket functionally acts as another
Red Heart container, and can be half-depleted when taking half a heart of damage, or fully depleted when taking a full heart of damage.
- Red Hearts will fill any of Golem's empty Red Heart containers first before filling Vessel Rock.
- The trinket functionally acts as another
- If Golem takes damage while Vessel Rock is empty, or the amount of damage taken is greater than the amount of health held within, the trinket will break and turn into
Pocket Sand.
Notes
- Vessel Rock can not be filled by a
Rotten Heart or
Morbid Heart.
- Damage taken with the trinket filled does not reduce the chance for
Devil Rooms or
Angel Rooms to appear.
- The trinket effectively grants a Red Heart container to characters who can not have them (
???,
The Lost,
Dark Judas,
Tainted ???,
Tainted Lost,
Tainted Judas, and
Tainted Forgotten ), allowing them to use Red Hearts for health.
Keeper and
Tainted Keeper will not be able to be fill Extra Vessel outside of co-op, as all Red Hearts that appear are automatically turned into
Blue Flies.
Interactions
Holy Mantle: The Holy Mantle shield will be triggered before a filled Vessel Rock takes damage.
Trinket Multipliers: No effect.
Smelter: Smelting or gulping Vessel Rock will grant a health up, adding an empty, half-filled or full
Red Heart container to the health bar based on Extra Vessel's state.
Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Vessel Rock rerolls it into
Hector.
Trivia
- Vessel Rock is the rock trinket counterpart to
Extra Vessel.
- The only difference between Extra Vessel and Vessel Rock is that Vessel Rock starts with a Half Red Heart inside of it when obtained, but the trinket can break when it takes damage with no hearts inside of it.
