Sandstone is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.
Effects
- Grants a luck-based chance to fire a rock tear that deals up to 4× Golem's damage, confuses enemies hit for 6 seconds, and reduces in size and damage as it travels, similar to
Proptosis. - If Golem takes damage from an explosion, Sandstone will break down into
Pocket Sand.
Notes
- The chance to fire a sandstone rock tear is
10 + 10 × Trinket Multiplier + 3 × Luck%.- In effect, the base chance starts at 20% at 0 Luck, and reaches 100% chance at 27 Luck, without
Trinket Multipliers.

Dark Arts: Attacks with these items have a chance of dealing 2× damage and confusing enemies. Damage is not affected based on distance from Isaac.
Aquarius: Chance to create sand-colored creep puddles that deal 2× damage and confuse enemies.
Second Hand: Doubles the confusion duration to 12 seconds, and will increase it by an additional 6 seconds for every Trinket Multiplier affecting Second Hand.
Azurite Spindown: Should reroll down into 
Unobtainium, but instead rerolls into 
Thunder Egg.
Trivia
- The Sandstone projectile was originally meant to inflict "Blind", a unique status effect. However, it is currently unimplemented, and Confusion was used as a placeholder for the time being instead.
- Sandstone's sprite could be based off the Sandstone Walls from Terraria.
