Bertran is a MOD that adds a brand new playable character, Bertran, who forgoes tears to instead use his head for many stylish tricks such as swinging, flailing, flinging and slamming. Bertran also has many unique synergies with items in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance to mix up Bertran's gameplay.
A few of the items added in Fiend Folio have their own unique synergies with Bertran.

 Cool Sunglasses |
Style Attracts Coins | Synergy active only during a Cake Run. The higher style, the faster coin pickups will be attracted to Bertran. |
 Fiend's Horn |
Smashable Minions; Minions give Slam Meter | Damaging enemies with  Hollow Minions contributes to Bertran's Slam Meter; Hollow Minions can be targeted and destroyed with a slam, causing them to create large puddles of black creep and a burst of black projectiles.

Slams Eat Pills; +Good, Neutral, and Bad Slams | Performing a slam while holding a pill will consume that pill. Depending on whether that pill was bad, neutral or good, the slam will have additional effects. |
