Handle With Care is a challenge added in The Reheated Update. In this challenge, the player starts as China with no items. The goal is to defeat Mom.

Difficulty

• Navigating rooms and avoiding damage is a treacherous task as China, as each and every obstacle are functionally hazards, including the walls and pits.
• Damage China takes is especially punishing due all heart pickups being useless, instead relying on the rare commodity that is Horse Push-Pops to remove Broken Hearts and sustain herself.

Strategies

• Stay focused and take it as slowly as possible in rooms with a large amount of obstacles and little room to move — impatience and muscle memory can be your biggest detriment in this challenge.
• China has a higher range to open locked doors and Key Blocks, so remember to not directly run into them.
• China features a high negative tear delay multiplier, making tears up items more effective.
• Like other characters that feature low survivability such as The Lost/ Tainted Lost, certain defensive items are a powerful pick for China, such as Book of Shadows or Holy Mantle.
• Fist Full of Ash is capable of healing China's Broken Hearts through destroying Tinted Rocks. Be aware that Fist Full of Ash will give her a Broken Heart upon entering a new floor, however.
