Goal

Mr. Hands is a bonus challenge added in The Spitshine Update. In this challenge, the player starts as Isaac with a golden Grabber's Enemy, Forgotten Lullaby, and Baby-Bender, which have all been gulped onto Isaac. In every room, fast homing hands will fly across the screen to grab anything in their way, including enemies, pick-ups, and Isaac himself. Every time Isaac takes damage, he will gain and gulp another copy of Grabber's Enemy, increasing the number and frequency of the hands. The goal is to defeat Mom's Heart or It Lives.

As Mr. Hands is considered a bonus challenge, completing it does not unlock any items or rewards.

Difficulty

• The hands can make it difficult to control where Isaac goes or how pickups and enemies will move about.
• The more Isaac takes damage, the more quickly the hands can be overwhelming, especially considering their homing properties and how fast they move.

Strategies

• As the hands can damage enemies, they can be a double-edged sword. In some scenarios, it could be a good idea to intentionally take damage in order to grant some extra firepower in the form of the hands, though be wary that they can just as easily hinder the player as they can the enemies.
• Having a high speed stat can make it easier to outrun and avoid the hands. Similarly, items that make Isaac intangible, such as Dark Arts, can be useful for avoiding the hands.
• Decreasing the size of Isaac's hitbox, such as taking One Makes You Small pills or Pluto, can lower the chances of being grabbed by the hands and make them easier to dodge.
• As the hands are considered familiars, items that enhance familiars or are improved by having them, such as BFFS! or Extension Cord, can be extremely useful, especially with the number of hands that can fly across the screen.

Trivia

• The name of the challenge is a reference to an infamous shock video of the same name, in which a man by the name of 'Mr. Hands' has sexual intercourse with a horse.
