Magnifiers are obstacles encountered in the Mausoleum. Magnifiers will project a laser toward any Pale Gapers, Pale Horfs, or Pale Clotties in the room, transforming them into Pale Mag Gapers, Pale Mag Horfs, or Pale Mag Clotties, respectively. These Mag enemies will have a different coloration than their regular variants found in the Ascent, and projectiles fired by Pale Mag Clotties will be purple instead of red ― otherwise, there is no difference in the behavior of these enemies.

Magnifiers will activate under either of these two conditions, which can vary depending on the room layout:

• After a set amount of time, ranging from immediately after Isaac enters the room to once several seconds have passed
• After all other enemies that cannot be affected by Magnifiers are dead

If all Pressure Plates in a room with Magnifiers are pressed, then all Magnifiers will deactivate and cause any and all Pale Mag Gapers, Pale Mag Horfs and Pale Mag Clotties that were created by a Magnifier to shrink down to their original forms.

Magnifiers are indestructible and cannot be blown up. They also cannot be flown over if Isaac has flight.
